building connections that matter. fostering solutions that endure.

wumner was a solution that endured...

Securing @sumner—my last name—as my Instagram handle turned out to be impossible. No amount of persistence, charm, or creativity could make it happen. So, I turned my L into a W, and @wumner emerged as my digital ID.

But
wumner didn’t just stop with me. I rallied my circle to join the transformation. Within a week, over 20 friends and acquaintances embraced their 'W' personas, creating a playful army of @wustinwatson, @wriffin.nyc, @wichaelpierro, and others. What began as a workaround became a moment of shared creativity; a lighthearted revolt against the limits of usernames. Over time, most of the group reverted back—but wumner endured.

At this point, it’s more than a username; it’s a mindset: challenge is opportunity, the unexpected is embraced, and it’s all about the W.
